Novena to Saint Francis of Assisi - Day 7

The Lord is a stronghold in times of distress.

Prayer: 

Father in Heaven, you never reject those who seek your help and are ever ready to comfort the sorrowful.  Through the intercession of Saint Francis and in Christ's name, I implore you to
have pity on me in my needs (mention the request), and to rescue me from all afflictions. Amen.

Your offering today:

In imitation of Christ and St. Francis, do good to those who may dislike you.

Prayer of Peace:

Lord, make me an instrument of peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
